Peptides: What They Are and Why People Are Talking About Them
Over the past few years, peptides have become a growing topic in the fitness, health, and recovery world. Many athletes and fitness enthusiasts have started exploring them as part of their recovery and performance strategies, but a lot of people still aren’t sure what peptides actually are.
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules in the body. In simple terms, they help communicate instructions between cells and can influence processes like tissue repair, hormone signaling, metabolism, and recovery so because of this, certain peptides are being researched for their potential role in supporting recovery, body composition, and overall health.
Some of the peptides most commonly discussed in the fitness community include:
BPC-157 – often researched for connective tissue repair and recovery support.
TB-500 – studied for its potential role in tissue healing and recovery.
CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin – commonly used to stimulate the body’s natural growth hormone signaling.
Semaglutide – widely known for its role in appetite regulation and weight management.
IGF-1 LR3 – studied for its role in muscle growth signaling.
During my own recovery from bicep surgery, I spent a lot of time researching different recovery methods and personally had success using a combination of BPC-157 and TB-500, referred to as the “Wolverine Stack,” which helped me get back to training more quickly.
Because of the growing interest in peptides and the importance of sourcing quality products, I recently partnered with Pacific Edge Labs, a company focused on peptide research products with strong quality control and testing standards.

It’s also important to note that some peptides may not be permitted in certain sports federations, so competitive athletes should always check their federation’s banned substance list before purchasing or using any compounds.
As with anything related to health and performance, education and responsible decision making should always come first.
